The Greens in Taufkirchen will again take part in the nationwide city cycling competition from June 27th to July 17th. Your parliamentary group chairman in the local council, David Grothe, will be reporting on a blog about his experiences during the three weeks without a car.
The aim of city cycling is to use the bike instead of the car to get to work, the train station or the beer garden, to visit friends or to go shopping. “Head on, engine off, get on the pedals!” Grothe encourages you to ride along. Everyone can take part and every kilometer of short distance counts equally, for example to the mailbox or to the bakery.
