Taufkirchen grants additional salary for kindergarten teachers – district of Munich

In the fight against the shortage of personnel in childcare facilities, the municipality of Taufkirchen continues to rely on an above-standard salary supplement. This so-called labor market allowance of 150 euros per month will also be granted to employees in crèches and kindergartens in the coming year, the local council decided unanimously. The surcharge that educators and educational staff also receive in the city of Munich and in several neighboring communities was introduced in Taufkirchen in 2015 for a limited period and has been extended ever since. “There is still a shortage of skilled workers,” said Mayor Ullrich Sander (non-party). According to the municipal administration, there are currently 23 vacancies in the local childcare facilities. As a result, a total of 115 daycare places cannot be offered.
