Taufkirchen – 96-year-old drives pedestrians on zebra crossings – district of Munich

A 96-year-old driver missed and knocked over a pedestrian on the zebra crossing in Taufkirchen on Tuesday afternoon. According to the police, the elderly man was driving his car north on Lindenring around 5 p.m. when the accident happened. According to the current state of investigation, the 96-year-old drove at walking speed to the pedestrian crossing that was being used by a woman, but apparently escaped him. The front of his car caught the 45-year-old’s legs and knocked them over. The woman suffered minor injuries in the fall. Passers-by helped immediately and called the emergency services. He took the 45-year-old to a hospital for outpatient treatment. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and there was no property damage. The elderly driver is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm, according to the police in Unterhaching.
