Tatort review “Schattenleben” (13.6.): FLINTA scene & secrets – SWR3

During a politically motivated action, a house catches fire. Accident or intention? The investigators Falke and Grosz dive into the Hamburg Flinta* scene. A good and entertaining thriller for Sunday evening, says SWR3 editor Michael Haas.

Investigations in the FLINTA* scene

A young woman is cutting vegetables in her kitchen. She has no idea of the hooded person standing directly behind her and suddenly attacking her. However, the person is not a burglar, but the woman’s girlfriend. A little joke among radicals, because that’s the two. They live in a kind of commune for lesbian left-wing militant autonomists. The police speak of the FLINTA* scene, meaning women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people and non-binary gender identities.

Accident or attack?

In the film, the police classify some of them as militant, as free radicals who sometimes like to torch parked SUVs. But as the next car catches fire, the fire spreads to a police officer’s house. His wife is badly injured. The police immediately spoke of an attack against the regulatory authorities.

Falke and Grosz take up the investigation, and Ela, an ex-love of hers, quickly gets in touch with the inspector. The two met during police training. But Ela somehow slipped into this FLINTA* scene.

Girlfriend or policewoman – Julia Grosz needs help

Ela tells Grosz about her suspicions as to who might have carried out the attack, but asks her to keep it secret. That alone is already difficult for the commissioner, because as an officer she would actually have to report the suspicion. But then Ela disappears without a trace. At least now Julia Grosz needs help. She asks her colleague Falke for support. And yes, Falke stands by her and trusts her. What a blessing if you don’t have to watch the noise between the inspectors on Sunday evening! Falke sensitive and understanding. That’s good for the relationship with his colleague, and it’s good for the whole crime scene.

Conclusion of the crime scene review: Told a little too calmly, but still nice ideas

I’m just wondering if the story really lasts 90 minutes. She seemed a little stretched to me. But everyone has to decide that for themselves. In any case, there are nice ideas in there, and it will also be somewhat exciting. But the most important thing: you really enjoy watching. A good crime scene! Three out of five moose.
