Ludwig Trepte is the son of the well-known Ostrock singer Stephan Trepte (1950-2020) and appeared as a 12-year-old boy in the “Polizeiruf 110” episode “Bei Ringelzeichen Mord” and the “Tatort” edition “Bienzle und the secret witness”. The father of two had his first leading role in the cinema in 2005 in “Kombat Sixteen” alongside Matthias Schweighöfer (41). A year later he was awarded the Max Ophüls Prize for best young actor for his role in the feature film “Keller”.

In 2008 he won his first Adolf Grimme Prize for his performance in “Guten Morgen, Herr Grothe”, in 2009 he was able to repeat the success thanks to “You can never be sure”. Trepte has also proven his skills in well-known miniseries, series and TV series. He played in “Tannbach – Destiny of a Village”, “Guilt after Ferdinand von Schirach”, “Germany 83”, “Germany 86”, “Our Wonderful Years” or in the surprise hit “4 Blocks”.
