Pioneering case for Falke and Schmitz

Filming for “Crime Scene: The Coldest Machine” has begun. Falke and Schmitz are investigating the crossover case using artificial intelligence.
AI quickly finds a likely perpetrator
A tricky case awaits man and machine: after a knifeman killed two people in Hanover, there is no trace of the perpetrator. Nevertheless, it is clear that he could strike again. The supra-regional investigation group led by Falke and Schmitz wants to gain crucial insights with the help of the innovative KROISOS software.
And AI expert Finn Jennewein (Thomas Niehaus, 42) quickly presents a likely perpetrator: the mentally ill René Kowalski (Mirco Kreibich, 40). But not only his sister Nora (Maria Dragus, 29) thinks it is impossible, Falke is also skeptical. When another, almost identical act happens, everything is open again… Peri Baumeister (37), Anna Stieblich (58), Natalia Rudziewicz (37) and Garry Fischmann (32) can be seen in other roles.
Farewell to colleague Grosz
Falke has been investigating the “crime scene” cosmos for ten years, first on behalf of the LKA Hamburg, then as a federal police officer. From 2016, Julia Grosz (Franziska Weisz, 43) was his colleague. Falke and Grosz were last in action in mid-April 2023. As it became known in September, the two solved the last case together in “Tatort: What Remains”. The film is scheduled to be broadcast next year.
Göttingen Chief Inspector Anaïs Schmitz has been investigating “Tatort” favorite Charlotte Lindholm (Maria Furtwängler, 57) since 2019. The team was last in action in 2022.
Shooting for “Tatort: The Coldest Machine” by director and Grimme Prize winner Viviane Andereggen (38, “Kleo”) started yesterday, Tuesday (November 7th). The film will be shot in Hanover and in and around Hamburg until December 7th. It should be shown on TV and in the media library in the first half of 2025.
