The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine had only just begun when a new unit began work in Berlin. Officially it was christened “UAG RUS/UKR”, the abbreviation stands for “sub-working group Russia/Ukraine”. In day-to-day government business, on the other hand, a more catchy term has prevailed that leaves no doubt about the assignment: the task force against disinformation.
