Tarbes teacher murder suspect still wanted

The trail of a love rivalry expands in the Pouyasctruc drama which cost the lives of two teachers from the Desaix college in Tarbes on Monday, Aurélie Pardon, 32, and Gabriel Fourmigué, 55. Pierre Aurignac, the public prosecutor of Tarbes, confirmed this Wednesday that the suspect n ° 1, a bald man seen by witnesses leaving the scene of the crimes on a motorbike, is none other than the husband of the French teacher. The couple, who have two children aged 3 and 5, were in the process of separating. The husband has not reappeared since the two teachers were shot dead and his motorcycle was spotted in Spain, 200 km from Pouyastruc. In addition, the two victims had “sentimentally become closer in recent weeks during a school trip,” said the magistrate.

The suspect is 34 years old and works in a factory in Pyrénées-Atlantiques manufacturing helicopter engines. Weapons were found at the home of this sports shooter, also a “former reservist” of the gendarmerie.

Suspicion of premeditation

Pierre Aurignac confirmed information from the Spanish press indicating that contact could be established between the husband and the investigators, before being “broken”. The search is taking place in a vast area straddling France and Spain and in particular near Jaca, the small town in the province of Aragon where the motorcycle was found.

The investigation will continue under the aegis of an investigating judge from the Pau criminal prosecution. The judicial information was opened for “assassinations”, which means that the investigators suspect the shooter of having premeditated his gesture.

Aurélie Pardon was found Monday around 6:30 p.m. dying in a street in the small village of Pouyastruc, in front of the house of Gabriel Fourmigué, discovered dead inside by the gendarmes.
