A Precision Air plane crashed into Lake Victoria while attempting to land on Sunday morning. According to the Tanzanian police authority, 49 passengers were on board who wanted to travel from Mwanza to Bukoba in the north of the country.
The rescue workers tried to pull the plane back onto land using canoes and small motor boats. So far they have been able to free 23 of the 49 passengers alive from the machine.
According to that Tanzanian broadcaster Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation the plane crashed due to bad weather conditions.
