The new office will not remain without effect on Ferda Ataman. And presumably, after all the excitement about her appointment as federal anti-discrimination commissioner, she has also decided not to provide any new cause for discussion for the time being. So the 43-year-old is sitting in an adjoining room at the federal press conference on Tuesday morning – that in itself is a statement in a way, she could have gone to a larger room.
