Talk in the small theater in Haar – district of Munich

At the beginning of the new year, the series of talks “Dienstalk” will start again from the café of the Small Theater in Haar. The 45-minute conversations always focus on a guest and are streamed live. Last year, theater director Matthias Riedel-Rüppel had district administrator Christoph Göbel, district council president Josef Meder and cabaret artist Jürgen Kirner as guests. Next Tuesday he will welcome Bernhard Vidoni from the “One Dollar Glasses” association. The aim of the association, which was founded in Erlangen in 2012, is to provide basic ophthalmic care, i.e. to support people who cannot afford glasses – and according to the association there should be 950 million of these worldwide. The initiator of the association is the former math and physics teacher Martin Aufmuth, who began developing the one-dollar glasses and the tools required to make them in 2010. In the meantime, he has even presented glasses and the concept at the Unesco headquarters in Paris. Bernhard Vidoni is head of the Munich regional group. Riedel-Rüppel speaks to him about the association, the further plans and restrictions due to the corona pandemic.

On the following Tuesday, the director and author Steffi Kammermeier will be a guest in the theater café. In conversation with her, questions like “Is popular theater still up to date?”, “Is the Bavarian language dying out?” and “What has the pandemic done to the amateur theater scene in Bavaria?”.

The talks start at 7 p.m. They are broadcast live on the YouTube channel kth.digital and on the theater’s Facebook page.
