Tafeln in the district of Ebersberg: urgently needed donations – Ebersberg

The war in Ukraine is pushing the local food banks to their breaking point. Due to Corona, the warehouses are already not sufficiently filled, the increased rush is now causing shortages. The Ebersberger Tafel alone supplied 31 Ukrainians on Thursday in addition to the existing Tafel customers. New refugees come every day to the Vaterstetten/Grasbrunn food bank. In order to ensure that the food expenditure runs smoothly, no new food bank ID cards are issued and help is provided unbureaucratically. Nevertheless, you can see that there is still a lot missing, says Sabine Oppolzer from the local neighborhood help.

The panels are also affected by the high fuel and energy prices. Without donations, the absolutely necessary energy-intensive cooling of goods and the food trips would no longer be possible.

Not only in the district are the food banks working at full speed, the great demand and high fuel and energy prices are also putting the food banks under pressure nationwide. Jochen Brühl, Chairman of Tafel Deutschland, appealed: “Please help the Tafel if you can. Start a collection campaign in your company or support us as a private person. Every pack of pasta and every euro helps!”

In order to be able to continue to guarantee an adequate supply under the difficult circumstances, durable food, dairy products, fruit and vegetables and hygiene items are urgently needed in normal household quantities.

Donations are possible at the following panels: At the Ebersberg panel, Abt-Williram-Straße 90, donations are accepted on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 8.30 a.m., in Grafing at Griesstraße 28, Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m 9.30 a.m. The Vaterstetten food bank accepts donations during the regular opening hours on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, see “Donations to the Tafel”. www.deine-nachbarschaftshilfe.de.
