SZ podcast “The Topic” – Long-Covid & ME / CFS: Permanently ill after the virus – knowledge

Corona incidences in Germany are currently increasing every day. The hospitals are overloaded, as are the medical staff. And of the many infected people, a certain number will be ill in the long term and will struggle with the consequences of the infection. According to estimates, ten to 15 percent of all infected people should get “Long Covid”, which includes various health ailments and symptoms.

One of them is Claudia Ellert, who has had ME / CFS for a year: chronic fatigue syndrome. In this episode she tells how it feels and what helps those affected. In addition, Christina Berndt explains from the SZ knowledge why these Long Covid cases at least draw attention to diseases that have been around for much longer in connection with viral infections – but which are far too often not taken seriously.
