SZ podcast: Pianist Sophie Pacini about the sound of home – Munich

How do you become a world-class pianist? How does Munich sound? Like home? Sophie Pacini, born in 1991, has a lot to tell. She has a captivating temperament, and not just when playing the piano. Your enthusiasm for classical music should be contagious. Be it the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra or the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: she has already appeared as a soloist with these and other orchestras of similar reputation.

Why the world traveler is still drawn back to her birthplace when it comes to music, why she now lives where she once grew up and why her path has been anything but always easy – she talks about this at the meeting in the Hofgarten, where she also reveals , why sounds are often associated with colors for them.

For the Munich editorial team’s podcast, people editor Sabine Buchwald, social editor Jana Jöbstl as well as Ulrike Heidenreich and René Hofmann, the heads of the Munich, region and Bavaria departments, meet alternately with very different guests. They pick you up at your place of residence or work and accompany you on your personal route. Sometimes by tram, subway, sometimes in a taxi or even on foot. Or they arrange to meet at special places in the city for a conversation.

It’s about current projects and very personal plans, about topics that move the city. About your favorite book, your favorite restaurant, your favorite club. The SZ podcast team invites people who have a connection to Munich. You live in the city or are visiting. They come from the areas of politics, gastronomy, culture, sport or media.
