Before the Federal Chancellor can go on vacation, he first has to answer questions from journalists. The Chancellor also made it clear which topics are of particular concern to him. Among other things, the dispute in the traffic light coalition. On this topic, some people had wished that Scholz would take more action as chancellor. Daniel Brössler from the SZ parliamentary office was present at the press conference and says: “He doesn’t see it that Scholz may have done something wrong. He sees himself more as a compromise person.”
As such, Scholz is pretty relaxed on most topics. The chancellor’s mantra at the summer press conference: don’t give up. “He tries to spread the feeling that everything is on the right track,” says Brössler. Whether it’s about the AfD and the mood in Germany or about his role as chancellor.
