SZ podcast “Munich personally”: Secret of a fragrance made in Munich – Munich

Ursula Lengling has a particularly fine nose and an excellent olfactory memory. She needs both to create perfumes. Together with her husband Christian, she founded the first Munich perfume house in 2014. A bold step. It is not easy for a Munich company to assert itself against the big international brands.

After only a short time, the Lenglings were selling their fragrances made in Munich in good perfumeries worldwide. Their sales figures finally allowed them to open their own shop in the city in 2021. Lengling now resides directly at the Frauenkirche. All the precious essences that Ursula Lengling works with are in a fragrance cabinet there.

In the SZ podcast “Munich Personally” she tells what time of day your nose is particularly sensitive and what you should do to find the perfume that suits you. The conversation is about the effect of fragrance, how you can train your nose and what you should definitely pay attention to if you want to give a perfume as a gift.

At Lengling, the most precious essences in the world are stored in a locked glass cabinet.
