When you visit Rudi Baumann, it takes less than three minutes before he holds one of his 37 guitars in his hands, plays it and sings along – the 67-year-old is a thoroughbred musician. For 50 years he has been on stages in various formations, since 2017 also as a member of the cult band Sharivari. In the SZ interview, the Tassilo candidate explains why a career as a professional musician was never an option for him and what the situation is with young bands in the Ebersberg district.
