The leader of the Islamic State in Syria, Maher al-Agal, has been killed in a drone attack. This is reported by the AFP news agency, citing the Pentagon.
According to the information, Al-Agal is one of the five most important leaders of the Islamist organization. At the time of the attack, al-Agal was on a motorcycle near Jindires, a town northwest of Aleppo near the Syrian-Turkish border. According to a spokesman for the US Central Command, a close associate of al-Agal was injured in the attack. It is possible that this is the deputy of the IS “governor”.
