“Swinging Christmas” in the Silver Hall of the Deutsches Theater – Munich

Thanks to his 20 years with those based here Echoes of Swing Chris Hopkins from Bochum (with American roots) also has a loyal fan base in Munich. Not least because he has an outstanding position in the classic jazz scene: There is no one else who plays both stride piano and swing alto saxophone with equal virtuosity.

Hopkins is therefore predestined for a “Swinging Christmas” like the one he is having now Silver Hall of the German Theater celebrated. With fantastic accompaniment: Shaunette Hildabrand is one of the most accomplished swing singers, as well as the clarinetist and saxophonist Engelbert Wrobel, the guitarist Rolf Marx, the bassist Henning Gailing and the drummer Oliver Mewes (also once with the Echoes of Swing) is one of the internationally outstanding specialists for early jazz.
