Suspended sentence for anti-Jewish slogans – Munich

If necessary, the public prosecutor’s office and the court can make short work of it: just seven weeks after Basak H. shouted anti-Jewish slogans from his balcony in the Berg am Laim district, the district court gave him a suspended prison sentence of eight months for, among other things, incitement to hatred sentenced. Public prosecutor Moritz Ströhlein castigated the 46-year-old’s statements as “extremely dangerous and reprehensible.” Such words could fuel the current anti-Semitic tendencies in Germany and provoke physical attacks.
