After several thefts in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt, a 32-year-old suspect is in custody. As police and public prosecutors announced on Wednesday, the man in Geldersheim is said to have stolen cash and other valuables from cars several times since mid-September. The police were initially unable to say how much money the man is said to have stolen in the thefts.
The man is also said to have unsuccessfully tried to get into houses through open doors. In addition to the police investigation, information from residents also led to suspicions against the 32-year-old being confirmed. The man was arrested last Friday and was taken into custody on Saturday.
