Susanne Daubner is a “Tagesschau” professional. And yet she had difficulty carrying out her show on Wednesday morning in the usual professional manner. What she says about her fits of laughter.

The Rugby World Cup is currently exciting not only fans of the sport, but also those who are not yet familiar with it. In the ARD “Morgenmagazin”, presenter Sven Lorig was amazed at the complicated rugby rules and expressed his confusion unequivocally. But Lorig couldn’t ponder for long because he… Susanne Daubner and the “Tagesschau” had to hand it over. After his “Good morning, Susanne”, the actually highly professional Daubner had problems maintaining her composure.

Live on television, she couldn’t stop laughing as she tried to read out the most important news of the day. The news anchor now explained her faux pas to the “Bild” newspaper. “It was due to a situation that I can’t really explain. Still engrossed in a new report, I heard Sven Lorig in the background and thought: Oh dear, I’m already on the air. And just then I had to laugh. It “It felt like an eternity. Thank God I regained my composure,” she said.

She was pleased by the reactions from the people in front of the television. “The response to my laugh was definitely positive to great – from ‘You saved my day’ to ‘Wonderful! Wonderfully happy start to the day’ to ‘It’s lovely, that laugh. More of it, the world is serious enough already!’ Of course, this shouldn’t become the rule,” explained Daubner.

Lorig also commented in the “Bild”. “It’s always heartwarming to joke around with Susanne Daubner, who is also a great human being,” he said. “But this laughing accident took me by surprise at first. At first I had no idea what exactly had happened. That’s why I wanted to show her clearly by kneeling down, with great respect and affection, that I had absolutely no intention of “To throw them off their game,” said Lorig, who asked Daubner for forgiveness on his knees on live TV. He also had a great time. “I found it extremely likeable and wonderfully funny how she tried again and again to achieve her serious, professional ‘Tagesschau’ tone and failed funny every time,” said Lorig.
