The Germans’ desire to travel is unbroken despite the war and inflation. A current representative survey of the insurer HanseMerkur in cooperation with the market research institute “Heute und Morgen” shows that 86 percent of those surveyed are planning a holiday this year. Most of them therefore want to travel within Europe. The most popular travel destinations for 2023 include Italy, Austria, Spain, Greece and the USA.
