Surprise, Carole Delga (PS) would be well in the lead, the RN second

Carole Delga, the outgoing socialist president of the Occitanie region, and Jean-Paul Garraud, the head of the RN list. – Alain Robert / Sipa

If we are to believe the first estimates from Ipsos and Sopra Steria (for France Televisions, Radio France and The Parliamentary Channel) of the results of the regional elections, successive polls have been largely wrong in recent weeks in Occitanie. Or perhaps they had not envisaged that the abstention would be so strong (66.3% in the region, according to the same institutes).

While we were waiting for Jean-Paul Garraud (RN) in the lead, it would be Carole Delga (PS), the outgoing candidate, who would prance in first position, with 39.6% of the vote. The RN candidate would only be second, far behind, with 22.8% of the vote.

LR would be qualified, not LREM

Aurélien Pradié (LR) would be in third position, with 12.1% and able to hold on. On the other hand, according to these first estimates, another surprise: Vincent Terrail-Novès (various right), the candidate supported by the presidential majority, does not pass the 10% mark, with 8.4%. Same estimate for Antoine Maurice (EELV), 8.4%.

Myriam Martin (LFI) is at 5%, Malena Adrada (LO) at 2.4%, Jean-Luc Davezac (without label) at 0.9% and Anthony Le Boursicaud (without label) at 0.4%.
