Surfer dies after collapsing in water

This Thursday morning, the firefighters of Biscarrosse, in the north of the Landes, intervened to help a 60-year-old man, victim of discomfort while he was overdoing. The 60-year-old was pulled out of the water by other practitioners on the Vivier beach, north of Biscarrosse.

When the firefighters arrived, the man was already in cardiorespiratory arrest and they were unable to bring him back to life. This is the second death of the year on the Landes beaches since the fishing accident of April 18 off Contis, in the town of Saint-Julien-en-Born.
