Superbloom in Munich: Calvin Harris and Shirin David at the Grand Open Air – Munich

Everyone who was there still remembers Calvin Harris’ performance at the first Superbloom Festival: Those in the stadium remembered the furious dance party under the fireworks of the Scottish producer, singer and DJ world star, who played one dance hit after another from ” We Found Love” (his number with Rihanna) until “Summer” blasted out. The other thousands in front of the stadium remember the thankfully peaceful crowd, the loudspeaker announcements about the “entry stop” and also a few tears. Both together show: Harris was the highlight of the first “Superbloom” festival in 2022, and now he is coming back (as the newly crowned Brit Award winner), as the organizer has just announced.

The festival’s regular guests already know that they should make their way to the individual stages earlier for particularly popular concerts, such as Harris’s in the spacious Olympic Park. This probably also applies to other top new additions to the program: Milky Chance from Kassel, who are among the few German world stars with their grooving folktronica songs like “Stolen Dance”, even more famous than those already confirmed Tokio Hotel from Heidi Klum’s model shared apartment.

And Shirin David is not only one of the most famous influencers and TV pop jurors in this country. Since her very fun first concert tour, she has also been able to be seen in the Superbloom camp of recognized hip-hoppers with her colleagues Rin and Cro.

To Grammy and Oscar winner Sam Smith, too The Chainsmokers, province“Friesnjung” Joost and one direction-descendant Louis Tomlinson, joins Sweden’s guarantor of victory in the second wave of artists: Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in Baku in 2014 with “Euphoria” and in Liverpool in 2023 with “Tattoo”. Also new: Burna Boy with West African beats, the British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, the US indie pop singer Chappel Roan and the Schwandorf party rapper Tream (“Heart makes bamm”).

Just as important as the concerts to the creators of the “superlative adventure oasis” are the “experience” areas from science to art to lifestyle. For the first time, there will also be readings in the third edition. Illona Hartmann reads from her novel “Klarkommen”, Phia Quantius from her migraine autobiography “Bombenkopf”. There are also podcast shows: twice from the “Crime” category with Leonie Bartsch and Linn Schütze (“Murder on Ex”) and the Bayern 3 true crime podcast, and “Galerie Assgeweih” brings back memories of the wild noughties awake.

Further program items will follow, as will day tickets. Advance sales for two-day tickets have already started.
