“The super talent” of 2024 has been found: Alexander Doghmani from Saxony, just 17 years old, won.

In the final, the 17-year-old appeared shy. “I’m a bit tense before the final. Hopefully that will go away on stage.” His fears were unfounded: he sang Giacomo Puccini’s aria “O mio babbino caro” confidently – and thus secured victory. Juror Dieter Bohlen, 70, already suspected this: “That was just great, really great and I would be surprised if you didn’t tear this thing down today!”

Alexander Doghmani prevailed against the dance group “Black Widow” (2nd place) and the “Ramadhani Brothers” (3rd place). In contrast to previous seasons, this time it was not the television viewers who voted, but the viewers in the studio. In addition to the title, Doghmani can also look forward to prize money of 50,000 euros. Even after the victory, the 17-year-old remained surprisingly calm and didn’t seem to fully realize his triumph.

As RTL writes in a press release, this year’s super talent was born in Altenberg, Saxony, and lives with his family in the Erzgebirge. The family runs a small hotel there. Doghmani discovered his passion for classical singing early on and his mother enrolled him in singing lessons. However, he has so far shied away from the big stage: before the “super talent” he only performed in front of the hotel’s regular guests.

This time the Supertalent season is shorter than usual

The finale of the 16th season of “Das Supertalent” was recorded in December and will now be broadcast on Saturday evening (February 17th). The TV audience voted for the winner.

The jury for the 16th season consisted of Dieter Bohlen (70), choreographer Bruce Darnell (66), “Let’s Dance” winner Anna Ermakova (23) and “Let’s Dance” dancer Ekaterina Leonova (36). The show was moderated by Victoria Swarovski (30) and Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (37). The season was shorter than usual and only consisted of four episodes. The final was watched by 2.13 million viewers.

Watch the video above: Dieter Bohlen is celebrating his 70th birthday – but the pop titan isn’t thinking about retirement for the time being. On the contrary: Bohlen will soon be going on tour and he also has big plans in his private life.

Transparency note: The star is part of RTL Germany.
