Super Bowl LVIII: Usher will rock the halftime show
Usher will perform at the 58th Super Bowl halftime show.

On February 11th it’s that time again: it’s the Super Bowl! Like every year, football fans and event enthusiasts alike wonder who will perform at the legendary halftime. In 2024 it will be the turn of R&B singer Usher.
There aren’t many musicians who will turn down a request from the NFL when it comes to participating in the halftime show during the Super Bowls are possible. Because the performance is considered one of the largest stages in the music world. So far, only Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are said to have given the sports association the cold shoulder. This could also be because the NFL does not pay the artists anything for the appearance, no matter how well-known they are – and instead entices them with the reach.

This obviously also convinces the biggest players in the industry. In the last three years alone, global stars such as The Weeknd, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Rihanna. Next year it will be Usher, as the NFL has now announced.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime honor to finally be able to check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to give the world a show like they’ve never seen from me before,” said Usher.
Seth Dudowsky, NFL Head of Music, said of his capture for the show: “Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
Usher began his career at the end of the 1990s when he released his first number one hit with “You Make Me Wanna” and then also landed at the top in his home country, the USA, with “Nice & Slow”.
New Usher album in the works
He won his first Grammy Awards after the turn of the millennium for “U Remind Me” and “U Don’t Have to Call”. In Germany, Usher has only had one number one hit, which almost everyone still knows today: in 2004, he released the song “Yeah!” together with Ludacris and Lil Jon. His most successful album “Confessions” sold 15 million copies.

It’s been a while since his last album: in 2016 he released his last record to date, “Hard II Love”. In fact, seven years later, he is currently working on a new work that is scheduled to appear at the end of the year. The singer’s latest single is called “Good Good”.
