Sun shows high activity: sunspot sends solar storm to earth

See the video: sunspot explodes in space – now it sends a solar storm towards earth.

Sunspots are dark spots on the Sun’s visible surface that are cooler and therefore emit less visible light than the rest of the surface.
The actually “dead” Sunspot AR2987 exploded Monday, sending a geomagnetic storm toward Earth.
NASA images show the explosion.
According to “Spaceweather” the storm is expected to arrive on April 14th.
The US weather agency “National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration” NOAA for short, categorizes this type of storm into 5 levels.
According to the forecast, the incoming solar storm is said to be a level 2 storm, i.e. a “moderate” be storm.
According to the experts, there is no increased risk for power grids or satellites.
