It was a foretaste of spring: the sun and a bright blue sky lured many people out into the open in Bavaria. For example, on the Hopfensee lake promenade in Füssen, walkers enjoyed the view of the Alps and let themselves be warmed by the sun’s rays. It was correspondingly crowded on the roads, especially in the direction of the mountains. There was also a lot of activity in the skiing and hiking areas, in the Alps as well as in the Bavarian Forest. In some places all parking spaces were occupied. Only in Lower Franconia is it increasingly overcast during the course of the day. But the winter is not over yet – so the meteorologists are already expecting thick clouds, rain and light snowfall in the Alps on Tuesday night.
