Summer in Munich: After the hustle and bustle – Munich

Anyone who was out and about in summery Munich at the weekend could lose track of where the top and bottom are. You could feel that vibrating and humming in the city that regularly gives the people of Munich the feeling of living in the greatest metropolis in the world. Anyone who stepped outside the front door lightly and elatedly saw that the city had furnished itself most beautifully for its birthday and had set up all kinds of stages, booths and even a Ferris wheel between magnificent boulevards, green parks and historical squares.

Munich was 865 years old, and on the occasion of the city’s birthday, the city center experienced a seldom influx – despite blazing sunshine and temperatures of around 30 degrees. Kiss played in full (make-up) gear on the Königsplatz. And then there was the impressive drone show to open the Tollwood Festival. Topic this time: water. The young man in the English Garden took it literally – and jumped headlong into the Eisbach, which is known not only for surfing.
