Flatulence, diarrhea, vomiting: After eating sugar-free gummy bears from dm, customers complain of severe stomach problems. Now the drugstore chain has reacted.
Just ten or 20 wine gums – and some of them were gone. Under the heading “Review from the toilet,” a consumer named Philipp1572 complains: “I’ve never had such diarrhea with never-ending flatulence. The best-tasting laxative I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying.” More than a hundred people report on the dm website Similar. They write about flatulence, stomach cramps, diarrhea and even nausea and vomiting. An angry mother even calls the bears “assault”. Her three-year-old son only ate a handful of it and spent the rest of the day with “the worst cramps.” The woman apparently did not notice the warnings on the packaging. “Enjoy in moderation! Can have a laxative effect from an amount of around five bears,” it says on the front. And at the back: “Please keep out of the reach of small children.”
