A “ridiculously large” bag, index cards and fake sausages: props from “Succession” have now been auctioned off.

Only in May 2023 is ““Succession” has come to an end after four seasons – and the Emmy winner can now be described as a modern series classic. An indication of its status in the TV Olympus: At an auction by “Heritage Auctions” hundreds of props and costumes were just auctioned off for enormous sums of money.

A bag from Burberry went for 18,750 US dollars (approx. 17,000 euros). In the series about the super-rich Roy clan, a visitor brings the item to a party. Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen, 49) mocks the bag as “ridiculously big” – making fun of its owner, who doesn’t know the codes of the rich. The Burberry model retails for around $2,000.

Flashcards and fake sausages

However, the property that brought in the most money was much more inconspicuous. A buyer paid $25,000 for four pink index cards. Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin, 41) had written down his speech at his father Logan’s (Brian Cox, 77) funeral.

False credit cards and fictitious company key cards were also popular with bidders. $5,200 brought in very special props: artificial sausages. The media module uses it in a perfidious game in which he wants to expose a traitor in his own ranks.

“Succession” showed the race of the children of company patriarch Logan Roy to succeed him in four seasons from 2018 to 2023. The series won numerous awards, including the Emmy for Best Drama Series in 2020 and 2022.
