The new film “Glass Onion” is well received. As Netflix explains, the thriller took first place worldwide after the first three days.

After the great success of “Knives Out – Mord ist Familiensache” (2019), the sequel “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” is definitely worth seeing. According to the streaming service Netflixwhere the thriller starring Daniel Craig (54) can be seen, the strip was the number one film worldwide three days after its premiere on Friday (December 23).

82.1 million viewing hours

“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” clocked up 82.1 million viewing hours after just three days – with a film length of more than two hours. As a result, 35 million households in more than 93 countries wanted to see the new thriller. This number lies according to People magazine slightly below that of Sandra Bullock’s (58) production “The Unforgivable”, which had 85.86 million hours of views last December.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery ran in select theaters for just one week beginning November 23, 2022, a month before it premiered on Netflix. According to Box Office Mojo The film grossed just over $13 million in the US.

In the film Daniel Craig embodies the detective Benoit Blanc as in “Knives Out”. Otherwise there is no connection to the predecessor. There is a new cast and a new setting. Among others, Edward Norton (53), Dave Bautista (53) and Kate Hudson (43) appear. Instead of cold Massachusetts, the sequel also takes place on a Greek island.
