Subway in Munich: Restrictions on the U3 and U6 – Munich

As soon as the work between Goetheplatz and Implerstrasse is finished, passengers have to be prepared for impairments on the two lines in the evenings and at weekends. The reason this time: the work on the Sendlinger Tor station.

The interruption of the underground lines U 3 and U 6 between Goetheplatz and Implerstrasse has hardly ended when construction work slows down the operation of both lines again. Due to the work on the Sendlinger Tor underground station, there will be restrictions on late-night traffic in the city center from Saturday, June 25th to Sunday, August 7th, as well as all day on Sundays. From Monday to Thursday, the U 3 and U 6 must be interrupted from 10:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 p.m. and Sunday all day. There are no restrictions on Fridays.

The operation at these times is as follows: A shuttle train runs every 15 minutes on the U 3 between Odeonsplatz and Goetheplatz. The U 3 runs every ten minutes between Moosach and Odeonsplatz and every 15 minutes between Goetheplatz and Fürstenried West. The U 6 is interrupted between Münchner Freiheit and Implerstrasse. It runs every ten minutes between Garching Research Center and Münchner Freiheit and between Implerstraße and Großhadern Clinic.
