Almost 200 dead, countless people who were forever scarred. And one who too often has to bring bad news to families. Out and about with Michael Kloss, family carer in the Corona intensive care unit at the Stuttgart Clinic.

The split lips move, the chest rises and falls faster and faster, but not a sound comes from Frau Handels mouth. The breathing tube blocks the connection between the windpipe and the larynx.
