Study by Škoda – Auto & Mobil

The car manufacturer Škoda wants to launch three new electric models by 2026. With the Vision 7S study recently presented in Prague, there is already a preview of the design of the upcoming top model. According to the information, it will be an SUV. With a length of almost five meters, it should offer space for up to three rows of seats and thus up to seven people. According to Škoda, they sit in a newly designed interior with more variability. In addition to the driving mode, the Czechs have also developed a relax mode for the design study, in which the steering wheel is retracted and the seats in the first row can be swiveled inwards.

In addition, the huge screen in front of the center console can then be rotated so that it becomes the cinema screen for the break film. According to Škoda, the position of the optional child seat is also new: It is attached between the first and second rows on the center tunnel and is therefore enthroned in what the company says is the safest place in the entire vehicle.

While the shape and layout of the study are new, the Vision 7S is based on familiar technology: it uses the modular electrical system from the VW Group (MEB), has two motors for the all-wheel drive that have not yet been classified and runs on an 89-kilowatt-hour battery more than 600 kilometers away. Up to the market launch in two to three years, charging will take place at up to 200 kilowatts. With the Vision 7S and the accelerated electric offensive, Škoda is also linking a phase in the company’s history – and wants to make this visible from afar. As the first model of this era, the electric flagship is therefore also getting a new brand lettering with a new logo.
