Visual artists from Munich can apply for a rent subsidy as part of the city’s studio subsidy program until February 17th. The funding runs for three years and is valid from July 2023 to June 2026. The call for applications is aimed at artists who work at the interface to applied art (design, architecture). The cultural department has 300,000 euros at its disposal for this call for applications. The city council has increased the funds by 55,000 euros and wants to set an example for the independent scene that is particularly affected by the pandemic. Culture consultant Anton Biebl emphasizes: “For more than two years it was hardly possible to produce and present.
