Student gets his QR code tattooed on his bicep

“So I always have it with me. Neither skull nor dragon, let alone a heart pierced with an arrow: an Italian student of 22 years has decided to have the QR code tattooed on his arm proving that he is vaccinated against Covid-19.

At the entrance of a restaurant or a cinema, it should now suffice for Andrea Colonnetta, living in Reggio Calabria, in the south of Italy, to roll up his sleeve to show the tattoo on the back of his left bicep and thus prove that he received his two doses of vaccine.

“It’s rather original, I like to be different”, he commented for the newspaper. Il Corriere della Calabria, after posts on Instagram and TikTok made her a little local celebrity. His parents, explained the young man, had a less enthusiastic reaction. “They encouraged me… to be less impulsive and to think a little more before acting,” he explained. “Many of my friends have enjoyed [le tatouage] but there were also people who insulted me. However, I didn’t expect my tattoo to go viral on social media, it’s nuts! “

A video posted by his tattoo artist Gabriele Pellerone shows the student getting ready to walk into a McDonald’s and raising his arm to take a photo of his tattoo. We then see the guard at the entrance of the fast food restaurant scanning the photo, then Andrea tasting his hamburger.
