In the “Definitive Edition” the developers of “Stronghold” have given slightly improved graphics and the texts have also been re-recorded. The base game gets 14 new missions and some so-called quality-of-life improvements, i.e. new or revised comfort functions when playing.

This basic game costs 15 euros. At the beginning of 2024, Firefly plans to release two major updates, each containing free innovations and a 3-euro DLC. The free content includes additional missions and maps, including (unnamed) historical castles.
