Belgian musician Stromae has had to cancel his entire “Multitude” tour. The tour had previously been interrupted.

The Belgian pop singer Stromae (38) canceled all of his tour dates until the end of May for health reasons at the beginning of April. Now the musician had to deliver the bad news to his fans that the tour was completely canceled. “Unfortunately today I have to accept that the time I need to rest and heal will take longer than expected,” it says in his statement from Tuesday (9 May). “To my deepest regret, I cannot keep my promise and today I announce the end of the Multitude Tour.”

This decision is difficult to make, but at the same time necessary “so that I can heal”. Surrounded by his doctors, his family, his friends and his team, he hoped to the last “that I would get better quickly so that I could go on tour again and see you again as soon as possible”.

Concerts in Germany were also planned

Stromae, whose real name is Paul van Haver, was actually supposed to perform in Germany, on May 10th in Cologne and on May 12th in Berlin. Tour stations in Amsterdam, Toulouse, Basel, Geneva, London, Rome and Lyon were also affected by the first cancellation. Due to the cancellation of the entire tour, concerts in Brussels, Lille and Paris, among others, are canceled in June. In autumn there were performances in Strasbourg, Bordeaux or Amsterdam.

“Alors On Danse” singer Stromae is the son of a Belgian mother and a Rwandan father. The artist is married to his wife Coralie, with whom he runs the successful fashion label Mosaert. The two have a son together, who was born in 2018.

In 2015, Stromae withdrew from public life after health problems. In November 2020 he announced his musical comeback. The album “Multitude” was released in early March 2022.
