Stroll and be amazed in Markt Schwaben – Ebersberg

The hardship of the Corona period has produced many unusual solutions to continue to make everyday life as worth living as possible. Now the restrictions have been lifted – but many a good idea has survived. Among them is also the Art trail in Markt Schwaben: an exhibition that offers art in the open air, namely in all kinds of shop windows.

The timeless idea behind the art path was and is: to make the Swabian market more colourful. To make the exhibits accessible to all interested parties free of charge and at any time. To bring artists together, to offer a platform for creativity, to inspire, to animate, to awaken passions.

The youth center has again announced a photo competition.

For two months you can now discover great works in the middle of town again. The art trail will open this Sunday, February 12, at 2 p.m. in the town hall foyer, where visitors can meet many of the participating artists in person. In addition, on Saturday, March 18, another exciting day of action is on the agenda. The art trail will end on Sunday, April 16th.

This time there are more than 29 stations on the entertaining path across Markt Schwaben, where you can see works by 39 artists and three groups, including guests from Bad Tölz, Kirchseeon, Grafing and Glonn. If you want to find out more about the exhibitors, you can find them on the community website wanted letters, from Lily Alssen to Günter Zozmann. The children’s area has its own station, the elementary school shows student works via construction fence banners at Hennigbach and the Blues youth center has again announced a photo competition.

Art and enjoyment: This year there is even a special Wegbier

In addition to the classic genres of painting and photography, new art genres such as string art, tapestry embroidery or macrame are represented. A model for the design of a roundabout, the process of creating a medal, upcycling, a stone sculpture and much more will also be presented. This year, visitors to the trail can even enjoy their own “path beer” – of course, brewing is also an art. A pin with the Kunstpfad logo for the jacket serves as a small publicity stunt.

Incidentally, the entire campaign is made possible by the Aktivkreis Kunst und Kultur in Markt Schwaben, this time the closer organizational team consists of the initiator Anja Birnkraut, Stefan Pillokat and Elena Rid. They have been working on the open-air exhibition for months and are now overjoyed that the “largest art project” in the community can finally begin. “In any case, it turned out to be quite a contingent,” says Birnkraut and laughs.
