Strikes in Bavaria: On Friday it will also hit Nuremberg, Augsburg & Co. – Bavaria

After local transport in Munich in particular was paralyzed on Thursday, Verdi is also calling for a walkout in Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg and other places on Friday – not just in public transport.

The warning strikes in Bavaria are extended. For Friday, the Verdi union in Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg, Ingolstadt, Bamberg and Bayreuth has called for all-day warning strikes in local public transport. In the case of Nuremberg, this will also affect Erlangen and Fürth. There are also numerous warning strikes in the public sector. Collective bargaining is currently taking place in both areas. In Munich, the warning strike in public transport had already begun on Thursday, trams and subways were almost completely out of action, and the buses were about half.

In Nuremberg, the subway will remain closed on Friday. In the case of buses, at least some of the vehicles will be in use in most of the affected cities – these are often regional lines or school buses that are operated by private companies. The warning strikes in the public sector on Friday will affect, among other things, garbage disposal and recycling centers in Munich. In Regensburg, Verdi wants to hit the public utilities, the energy and water supply and also the baths with warning strikes. The warning strikes have been going on here for a long time and are to be gradually increased by the end of March.
