Strikes at the largest US newspaper group, Gannett – Medien

When the shareholders of the largest US newspaper group Gannett meet for a virtual meeting this Monday, hundreds of journalists will go on strike. Gannett specializes in local media, the group owns more than 200 daily and a good 170 weekly newspapers in the USA. There is a strike at 24 of these publications, including well-known newspapers such as the Palm Beach Post from Florida, the Arizona Republic or the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle in the state of New York.
