Strike in Hollywood: Happy Endings, Part One – Culture

It became apparent at the end of last week that there was finally movement on the strike, which has paralyzed Hollywood for months. After the American screenwriters’ union and the US film producers’ association had completely suspended negotiations for a month, the pressure for an agreement had become so great that the most powerful decision-makers in the film industry came personally. Instead of sending negotiators as before, the heads of Netflix, Disney, Warner and Universal personally took part in a marathon negotiation over the weekend to find a solution with the authors’ guild.
