Strengthening of health measures at the border with Belgium

New health measures will apply in the North. The prefect decided on Saturday to strengthen the conditions for entry into French territory from Belgium in order to fight against the spread of Covid-19.

People from this country, except children under 12, must now be vaccinated or have a negative PCR or antigen test, carried out less than 24 hours before crossing the border.

Gauge removed in concert halls and nightclubs

This obligation “does not concern the travel of road transport professionals in the exercise of their activity” specified the prefect. Nor, moreover, the movement of cross-border workers within a perimeter of 30 km around their residence or for emergency reasons.

More than 50,000 new positive cases have been identified in Belgium over the last week.

On the other hand, the prefect of the North gives up ballast concerning places open to the public. Thus, concert halls and shows welcoming a standing audience, as well as dance halls and discos see their capacity open. The 75% gauge is removed, but barrier gestures still need to be applied.
