With “The Crown” Netflix looks behind the scenes of Buckingham Palace. After the death of the Queen, filming on the new season could be interrupted.

In response to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there is a break in filming for the sixth season of the Netflix series “The Crown”. “I expect that we will also stop shooting out of respect,” quoted the industry journal “Deadline” as screenwriter Peter Morgan (59).

In his brief statement, the Briton described the series as a “love letter to the Queen”. He has nothing to add at the moment, “just silence and respect”.

Since 2016, Netflix has been taking a behind-the-scenes look at Buckingham Palace with its award-winning series. The first two seasons depict the Queen’s early years between family scandals and political crises. The forthcoming fifth season is expected to start in November 2022 and will be about the early 1990s, when the relationship between Prince Charles and Lady Diana continued to deteriorate.
