Straßlach / Oberhaching – water network for times of need – Munich district

In order to improve the security of supply, a 1.2 kilometer long network now connects the water network of the community of Straßlach-Dingharting with that of the Endlhausen group. A few days ago, the two mayors Hans Sienerth (Straßlach) and Stefan Schelle (Oberhaching) inaugurated the new water emergency network, through which the water suppliers will prepare for various crisis scenarios in the future. This can be a lack of water, but also a contamination of the elevated tank. Schelle and Sienerth explained at the opening ceremony that this investment is important in order to ensure the long-term supply of water in both areas. The infrastructure company Straßlach-Dingharting (ISD) also maintains an emergency association with the community of Grünwald.
