Straßlach-Dingharting – Prize for Masked Heroes – District of Munich

The award for special social commitment, awarded by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the Raiffeisenbank Isar-Loisachtal, went this year to the SV Straßlach and the sports association with the “Everyday masks for everyday heroes” campaign. Right at the beginning of the corona pandemic, those responsible for the association got involved in community masks. It all began with the idea of ​​using old shirts to make fabric masks in-house. They then moved on to designing and printing motifs with children and using them to create masks for the clubs. All teams in the SVS syndicates, namely Egling, Deining, Ascholding-Thanning, Höhenrain, were equipped with facepads with their own club logo. In the community area, money was collected for masks for everyday heroes by means of flyers. Finally, the Straßlach school, various kindergartens and facilities could be supplied with FFP2 masks. The bonus of 1000 euros now received through the victory at the district level will be further invested in the youth work of the clubs.
