Author Katja Lewina knows everything that can go wrong in love. On the tour for her book “Ex” she collects breakup stories from the audience. This time it’s about kissing strangers – and how eye-opening that can be.
“Salute!” Glasses clink, we toast, outside in the evening sun. Everyone around me has ordered spritz, just me sitting there with my non-alcoholic beer. I have a reading soon, I have to be clear about that. “Ex, so breakup stories?” Asks an acquaintance, let’s call her Linda. “I also have one in stock. One of those kinds where you don’t know: Are you just throwing your life in the bin – or are you finally going to get one?” Of course I want to hear them, and quickly, before I have to go on stage.
